Coping Tool card

Read this space for tips and help.

Purpose: Use Coping Tool to help your think through your thoughts, feelings, and actions when dealing with a problem and to plan a better way to think for yourself.

Tips:

1. This tool helps you analyze a problem that happened in the past and remember how you felt at the time and what you were thinking.
2. Then you identify a better response and imagine how this new response will help you feel better.
3. Plan a new way to think that will lead you to this new response.
4. Thinking is often the trigger to behavior. If you change your thinking it will help you change your behavior.
